Experience Uganda’s rich agricultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and diverse culture on this 5-day, 4-night Agro-Tourism Adventure. Combine farming, nature, and culture while enjoying hands-on experiences in sugar, pineapple, fish, and other agricultural industries.
Itinerary Detail
Day 1: Arrival and Orientation
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be welcomed by our tour guide. Transfer to the hotel in Entebbe or Kampala city. Receive a cultural orientation and briefing about Uganda’s rich farming history, agricultural practices, and traditions to prepare for your tour.
Overnight stay at: Hotel in Entebbe/Kampala (1 night)
Day 2: Kakira Sugar Works & Source of the Nile
After breakfast, drive to Kakira Sugar Works Industries, one of East Africa’s largest sugar producers. Tour the factory and sugar plantations to learn about sugar processing and exports to Europe and the USA. In the afternoon, visit the Source of the Nile before returning to Kampala for overnight stay.

Day 3: Luwero Organic Pineapple Farm Tour
Early breakfast and departure to Luwero to tour the organic pineapple farms and Sulma Foods drying factory. Learn about pineapple cultivation, harvesting, and processing for international markets, including Japan, Europe, and the USA. Guests can harvest their own pineapples before enjoying lunch at Sulma Gardens. Return to Kampala for overnight stay.

Day 4: Kalangala Fisheries Research Institute (KaFRI)
Depart early for Masaka-Bukakata Land site, then board a ferry to Kalangala Island on Lake Victoria. Explore fish farming techniques, aquaculture research, and other agricultural activities, including palm oil plantations. Relax on the island’s white sand beaches and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Overnight stay at: Lodge on Kalangala Island (1 night)
Day 5: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, embark on the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe to catch your flight.
